🎒 Drumsheds — what to bring

Cavernous ex-warehouse — it runs cold, and some bars & loos are outside. Drew's already sorted the tickets (2pm entry), the shuttle, and a Large e-locker, so pack a layer and stash it. Bag searches are strict.

Bring

Photo ID — passport or driving licence (18+, Challenge 25; must match any name on the ticket)
E-ticket on your phone (or printed)
Contactless card / phone — venue is cashless, no cash anywhere
A warm layer / jacket — stash it in the large locker, grab it for the outdoor areas
Small bag only — anything up to A4 (21 × 30 cm); it doesn't need to be clear (only the water bottle does)
Clear, empty water bottle — free refill points inside
Vape / cigs are fine to bring — but you can only use them in the outdoor smoking area, never inside

🧊 Drumsheds — know before you go

The reviewers' consensus on this 15,000-cap ex-IKEA warehouse:

It's genuinely cold — a big industrial shed with a huge, chilly bar foyer. The jacket in your locker isn't optional.

Airport-style security with full searches. Turn up for your 2pm slot to beat the queue — they've added search lanes since the refurb, but it still backs up at peak.

Sound is best near the front stacks in the main Room X (new sub-bass added) and thins toward the back — post up forward.

No cloakroom at all, so the pre-booked locker Drew grabbed is exactly the right call.

Cashless everywhere. Post-refurb there are more chill-out zones, extra toilets and sober bars.

🛋️ United lounge at LHR — worth getting there early for. There's no Polaris Lounge at Heathrow (that's why you couldn't find it); United uses the United Club in Terminal 2B, the satellite B-gates building. After security in Terminal 2, follow signs to the B gates and take the underground walkway across — the United Club is up in T2B, and your Polaris boarding pass gets you in. Reviewers rate it the best of United's Clubs: a hot buffet (rotating dishes like beef bourguignon, chicken milanese, soups, salads, wraps and desserts, all free), a full bar with wine, cocktails and champagne, shower suites, and tarmac views.
